Founded with a heart for children and a passion for growth, Mema House is a nonprofit enrichment organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and their families through hands-on interactive learning, sensory exploration, and health & wellness opportunities.
Located in Bakersfield, California, our mission is to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore, take risks, and build the confidence they need to thrive.
We provide sensory-rich play experiences and enrichment programs that support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children from birth through adolescence. Our inclusive events are designed for all families, offering everything from play-based classes and community wellness events to mentorship and hosting play day meet ups.
We are building a movement rooted in empathy, connection, and creativity. By partnering with families, schools, and local organizations, we strive to create meaningful impact and lasting memories for every child that experiences Mema House.
We host seasonal celebrations, sensory play days, wellness gatherings, and enrichment workshops! All designed to strengthen family bonds, foster community connection, and improve the whole families quality of life. These events are inclusive, free or low-cost, and open to all families looking for a safe, creative, and joyful space.
Through partnerships with schools, local businesses, and fellow nonprofits, we expand our reach and bring our mission to life in new and exciting ways. Whether we’re co-hosting a community event or providing mobile enrichment activities, Mema House is committed to being a trusted resource for family-centered growth and empowerment.
